Additional information

It's in a prime position in Plagne 1800 being less than 20 metres away from the piste and ski school meeting point together with being central in the village, thus there are no long walks to the piste! The chalet is also directly opposite the new fast chairlift that has been opened which whisks you towards Plagne Centre and Plagne Soleil.

The chalet is directly next door to our ski hire shop and so this is a great convenience especially for those with small children as you don't need to carry your skis anywhere!

As with all of our other catered chalets our food is marvellous and unlike many major tour operators our chalet hosts are experienced in providing a great catered service. The cosy lounge has a TV and we have free WIFI available. The chalet is set over thee levels with a large sun terrace on the first floor. We offer a lift pass collection service when pre-paid, discounted ski hire etc. Transfers can also be organised.

Notes on pricings

Typically the pricing for "sole use" chalets are quoted based on the cost of renting the whole chalet, whilst large ski chalets that are not for sole use will usually quote their prices per person, based on 2 people sharing a room. Please note that whilst every effort has been made to accurately display the owners rental rates, mistakes do happen, and rates can be subject to change by the owner. Therefore these rates should be taken as a guide only. Final costing should be agreed and confirmed with the chalet owners direct.

Getting There

La Plagne is approximately 600 miles from Calais, which is about a nine hour drive (at peak times this may be longer). It’s an easy drive, being largely motorways, but you might well want to take your time and enjoy the French countryside.

There are two options - Eurostar and the normal French TGV services direct from Paris and these stop in Aime on the way out and take only about 8 hours from St Pancreas station. Then get a taxi to Plagne 1800 which is about €45. Note on the way back you cannot rejoin at Aime only at Bourg St Maurice or Moutiers (this is due to the lack of a customs post at Aime). We will arrange taxis for our catered guests although we cannot accept liability should there be any issues.

Please note that the Eurostar trains only arrive/depart on a Saturday and for those of you with very early morning arrivals and/or late departures you cannot get into the chalet before 4pm as we will be preparing it for you and must leave by 10am in order for it to be prepared for the new guests arriving, however we will endeavour to store you luggage but at your own risk.

There are four airports within easy reach of La Plagne - Geneva and Lyon (approximately 2.5 hours), Grenoble (approximately two hours) and Chambery (approximately one hour). All can be reached by scheduled or low cost airlines.
